After the difficult conditions of early 2014 at the event Trevor and the team are continuing to dream big and chase the dream of being the first to 500mph (800kph) with some small modifications to “The Southern Cross” the team home built eleven metre streamlined monster.
With the salt conditions improving and some further time to bake in the harsh Australian sun later this year, the team is hoping to return to Lake Gairdner in South Australia and make its mark in 2015. There is some mechanical changes to the vehicle and further developments on the car improving things from the testing previously completed. “One thing is for sure, we wont be mucking around, we are going to make some heads turn in 2015 that’s guaranteed” says Trevor Slaughter, Team Principal / Driver.
16/09/2014, Logan City council have played a pivotal role with the Slaughter Motorsport team in 2014, pushing for recognition of the proud Logan based team. Today Trevor Slaughter presented the council with a team shirt display, thanking the council for their support and guidance. “We are very proud of being part of the Logan team, and grateful of the support” said Trevor “we are proud Australian’s and very proud to be from Logan”
